Hello to those who view this. My name is Jake and I am currently a full time college student attending Sanford-Brown Institute in the Advanced Massage Therapy course. I also am a student of guitar, having been taking professional lessons for six years and counting. I play both acoustic and electric guitar, and have been learning mainly "rock" guitar, however recently I am being acquainted with "classical" guitar. About myself, you will decide what you think I am like as a person, once you get to know me of course. Even then, that is only your opinion, and that is all it will ever be. However, your houghts are welcomed and appreciated. |

How To Contact Me
Likes/Dislikes | What i Like: | Women who show sophistication yet also show respect, and have morals, and values, principles in which they live a healthy lifestyle. I know people make mistakes, but that's life...what is important is that they learn as quickly as possible from the situation to be able to grow and be more mature. | | What i Dislike: | Women who dress, act, and talk like men. Many guys are pigs...I should know because I am a guy and I see how other men act. I don't want a woman that is a man...I want a woman who is a woman.
I also dislike people who sleep around just because they think sex is great or because they are horny...keep your pants on if you ever want anyone to respect you.
Piercings...actually ladies, I'm not really attracted to things like belly rings or tongue rings or eyebrows or really anything outside of the ears being pierced. |

Music nowadays...such a shame. Music has seemed to only get better over the years until the 90's. In the 50's the course of rock was changed through for instance, the ever popular Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry. The 60's brought something new to the table, as well as the 70's where solos changed and vibrato and effects where incorporated more. The 80's brought a simplistic yet blistering beat, while embracing seering guitar solos and a new vocal range. Ever since the end of the 80's music seems to have hit an all-time low. I know the 80's had it's problems, however at least the musicians had the technical skill to be able to show off their abilities on their instruments. Some of the lead guitarists of some of the most popular groups have been able to continue making music even through today, yet since no one cares for talent anymore, some of the best musicians nowadays are unrecognized. Now the popular music is simplistic and lacking in talent. Singers have poor ranges and whine without control over their vocals. Anyone is able to pick up a guitar and strum four cords and it would sound like several pathetic songs.
If you would like to claim yourself as a musician and be credible,
1) go take some professional lessons
2) practice all of your chords and progressions, and don't forget your scales
3) learn some songs from different decades and music genres so you gain some respect for other times and styles (dab a little in blues, rock, country *trust me the bends are harder than you would expect...good training*, jazz, and some classical and hispanic guitar)
4) create chord progressions to work on timing and smooth out your transitions
5) After you have worked on these things, write some of your own music and play from your heart...make your playing unique.
